So I was over my parents house today and I heard them talk about some old Port Wine bottles they had, which date back to 1947. Turns out they have two of them and they are destined to be passed on to their children, i.e., me and my brother.
After conducting some research I came to the conclusion these bottles are in fact worth some money and would be very sought after by the Port enthusiasts as 1947 was supposedly a year of a superb vintage. Now, I don’t know what will my brother do with the bottle that’s due to him, but I know exactly what I’m going to do with mine. I’m going to open it the day we finally open our RIVALS flagship store!Come see me when we do, and you might just get a sip.
These bottles were supposed to be exported, but my father’s godfather got the hold of them (he worked at a Port Wine cellar) and that’s how they ended up in my family. Just sharing with ya’ll.
